Educational programs and vocational areas

The tasks and work environment in this type of profession are very different today from what they have been in the past.

Take, for example, engineering and industrial professions, which today are not at all monotonous and repetitive like people traditionally believe. A CNC operator today can handle equipment valued at several million krona and be directly linked to a client somewhere in the world and both programming and participating in the development, and at a garage there are significantly more digital tools than oily tools today.Salary levels are also much better than before. In many vocational areas, the improvements are clearly visible.

Statistics show, for example, the average salaries both five and ten years after completed studies for some national vocational programs. The Energy program tops the list with an average salary of just over SEK 25,000/month five years after completing an upper secondary school program and just under SEK 30,000/month on average after ten years. Following the Energy program in terms of salary are the Electrical, Construction, Vehicle and Industry programs.
